Analysis of the inelasticity of touch switch keys


Recently, we received some new customers' reactions that the keys could not be repositioned after welding the toggle switches purchased by other companies. According to our experience, it can be divided into the following aspects.

1, touch switch shrapnel itself is not elastic, in order to reduce the cost of using quality hidden shrapnel.

2. Welding temperature is too high.

2.1. The soldering temperature of the plug-in touch switch in the wave peak shall not exceed 240 ℃ /2 s or 235 ℃ /5 s;

2.2. SMT light touch switch reflow welding shall not exceed 270 ° C /2 s or 260 ° C /5 s;

2.3. The temperature of manual soldering iron should be controlled between 320-350 degrees Celsius, and the welding time should not exceed 2 seconds;

2.4 manual tin-dipping welding, welding temperature should not exceed 240 degrees Celsius /2 seconds;

2.5. The welding times of the same touch switch shall be controlled within 2 times. If the number exceeds the welding times, the quality risks will also be caused.

2.6 Pay attention to preheating before welding in all welding processes. There is a little difference in preheating for different PCB boards. Please consult PCB board manufacturers for details.

2.7. The above welding is only responsible for our products. There may be differences between the touch switches produced by different manufacturers. If your company needs to exceed the above time and temperature limits in the process of welding the touch switches, you are advised to contact us, and we will provide relevant suggestions for your reference.

3, light touch switch in the process of transportation or high temperature under the condition of strong extrusion, resulting in shrapnel deformation. There are also (less commonly) cases where the keys don't bounce back.

4. When doing the high temperature test, the light touch switch can not be in the conduction state for a long time, otherwise there will be shrapnel deformation leading to the key can not spring back
